LORA node for FREHNIG Flowmeters
The most commonly used networking protocol for field instruments is RS-485. However, this serial wired system can present challenges such as error propagation, noise, and wiring complexities. In contrast, LORA is a recognized standard for industrial communication. The FREHNIG FLR-1801 is designed to enable standalone LORA network installations for connecting FREHNIG flowmeters and acquiring totalizer data.
The system features manual routing to avoid route hunting and simplify debugging in the event of signal loss. It includes a master LORA node and individual nodes that can be configured as either flowmeter nodes or repeaters. The master node is programmed with all necessary parameters for data acquisition and connects to a PC/DAQ via RS-232 MODBUS protocol. Additionally, a website with pre-loaded software facilitates immediate data logging with minimal hassle. We can also provide a new website with pre-loaded software if needed.
